I completely understand your position but unfortunately, in my experience, many people don't realize how may calories are in certain items. The general population drastically underestimates the number of calories in items like salad dressings. And portion size plays a big role too. Salmon is a heart-healthy meal option. But most restaurants serve three times the appropriate portion size of items (including salmon). So now you have taken a healthy meal and made it consist of way too many calories. I think this new law can only help! But I welcome your point of view and I thank you for sharing.

I don't agree...I love the food at Houston's and say, "Good for them!" Everyone needs to take responsibility for their own calorie intake. It doesn't take a genius to know that if you order even a salad and then load it with gobs of creamy dressing, you are not ordering a "low-cal" food. And everyone should know that if you are eating French fries instead of a steamed veggie, and a large hamburger bun loaded with condiments, you're calorie intake is ridiculous. It's really time for the American people to start taking responsibility for their own actions and for the government to start butting out! Our country wouldn't be in the current financial mess it's in if the public would just grow up and start acting like responsible adults!!!
